On our way to France, we detoured through Germany to visit our friends living in Biberach. It's a very small town near Heilbronn, north of Stuttgart, south of Frankfurt. We only had three days with Sandra and Paul, their 10-yr old son Justin, and their extended family who also live nearby. The kids were excited to play with Justin's "toys", the trampoline, soccer ball, arts and crafts, and playing German Wii video games.
On the first night, we were treated to homemade Schnitzel and Spätzle with mushroom sauce. Trent and Justin were the official cooks for the evening.
After dinner, we headed to a local fortress in Bad Wimpfen to try for a glimpse of the anticipated lunar eclipse or "blood moon". Unfortunately the clouds rolled in preventing us from clearly seeing the eclipse, but the visit to the fort made up for it.
Paul set the tent up earlier in the day, and the boys climbed in for a campout in the backyard. Special day with our good friends.

I haven't checked since the first mail you sent re: the blog and you are already in Germany! I have some catching up to do! Jesa and I are going to look at your blog and track you guys on the map! So much fun! Great pictures!
